The new limits will apply to dismissals and other events occurring after 1 February 2009.

The new limits will be:

• Maximum Compensatory award for unfair dismissal - £66,200 (currently £63,000)
• Maximum statutory redundancy payment - £10,500 (currently £9,900)
• Guarantee pay for a day's lay off - £21.50 (currently £20.40)
• A week's pay (gross) - £350 (currently £330) for certain purposes including for calculating:
  • Statutory redundancy payment
  • Basic unfair dismissal award
  • Failure to provide statutory right of accompaniment
  • Failure to provide written particulars of employment
  • Breach of flexible working regulations
